B.Tech - Electronics and Media Technology

The programme of Electronics and Media Technology aims to bridge the gap between creative media and the technical platform that supports the media. The students will be equipped with an enriched knowledge of Electronics and Computer Programming along with creative media subjects. The students have the liberty to pave their own academic path during the course of their study through the Choice Based Credit System that helps them to concentrate on their strengths and improve their creative skills. The program is supported by dynamic and pro-active faculties enriched with academic and media industry experience, who always walk an extra mile to bring out the best from the students through practical pedagogy and individual care. The department also has well equipped lab facilities that enable the students to work with confidence and gain the much needed practical training.

To provide opportunity for students to work as part of teams on multi-disciplinary projects and attain relevant engineering and creative design experience so that they shall understand the relationship between theory and practice for media computing industries.

Graduates shall possess the skills with which they can visualize the problems and convey simple cost-effective solutions enabling them to work in teams and to be an effective lead as the field evolves.

To promote student awareness of the life-long learning and to develop the students as Professionals with ethics and humanitarian values molding them as responsible citizens to promote sustainable Industrial progress and societal transformation by solving economic, environmental & social constraints.

Program Outcomes

a. Utilize the acquired knowledge to understand and implement analytics used in the fields of engineering mathematics, Media productions, Electronics and Computer Sciences.
b. Design and experiment with hardware and software applications, Games engines, animations and mobile applications. Analyze the creative and technical works of reputed filmmakers and interpret the methodology of their production.
c. To design a system, component, or process to meet desired need within economic, environmental and social constraints and also to understand the impact of engineering solution on them.
d. Function on multi-disciplinary teams.
e. An ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems, apply design techniques creatively and develop principles in the construction of software /hardware systems of varying complexity in media industries.
f. Have an understanding of media laws and ethics to demonstrate high moral standards in media productions.
g. Effectively communicate ideas in oral, written, or graphical form.
h. Understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context.
i. Recognize the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning as the field evolves.
